Monday July 16 – Las Vegas:  Today is a day for people to arrive at the airport and get reacquainted with each other while we are in Vegas .  Once your flight arrives you can shuttle to our hotel and then you are free to explore Las Vegas tonight.  Remember we are coming back here for a couple of days at the end of the trip, so save something for then.

Tuesday  July 17 – Los Angeles:  A morning drive from Vegas gets us into the heart of Hollywood.  After checking into our hotel, we’re going to explore the sights of the Sunset Strip.  Spend an evening along the wildest and craziest night spot in the USA.  If you want to stay out late, take a taxi back to the hotel.

Wednesday  July 18 – Los Angeles: This morning we’ll take a tour of the city, including a visit to Griffith Park Observatory,  the Getty Museum and more.  This afternoon we’ll turn you lose on famous Venice Beach for America’s Birthday.  Bring your swim suit and your camera because crazy things happen here.   If beaching isn’t your thing, maybe take an optional tour of the star’s homes or go shopping on Rodeo Drive.   Another option today is Universal Studio Tours.

Thurday  July 19 – San Francisco:  A drive on beautiful Rte 101 up the coast towards San Francisco.  We’ll arrive this afternoon and after checking into our hotel turn you loose to explore this exciting city.  Try dinner in North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf or China Town.   Rent a bike and ride to the Golden Gate bridge.

Friday  July 20 – San Francisco: Today you’ll have options.  An optional tour to Alcatraz or another optional tour to Muir Woods and the giant redwoods.  Or just chill on your own taking in the wonder of the city.  In spite of it’s 7 hills, this is a walking city.  Just explore on your own or join Bill, Jackie or some other former chaperone to the places they love.   This city is filled with awesome little taverns, clubs, and places to see, whatever your lifestyle is.

Saturday  July 21 – Virginia City, Fallon:  Today is a treat and a surprise for most of you.  A trip through the Sierra Nevada Mountains takes you to Reno and then Virginia City.  A famous western cowboy and mining town, it’s a popular place for biker rallys and has a number of fun shops, saloons, and even a haunted former brothel.  Three hours here go way too fast.  Tonight we stay in the nice little town of Fallon, NV.  Explore the local casino here.

Sunday  July 22   Provo: A long driving day to Provo Utah through the desolate, yet beautiful Nevada desert.  This afternoon you’ll see the incredible Bonneville Salt Flats.  Hundreds of square kilometers of pure white salt.  Most Land World Speed Records have been set here.  Tonight we’ll stay in Provo UT.  Home of Brigham Young University,  it’s a nice community with decent shopping and plenty of restaurants.

Monday, July 23  – Moab:  A morning drive to Moab gets us to Arches National Park.  A reasonable length hike in some incredible scenery adds to our time here.  Before checking into the hotel, we’ll visit some incredible Native American petroglyphs.  Tonight explore the fun night life in this Adventure Sports Mecca.

Tuesday, July 24, 2011 –  Moab: This morning we’ll do some white water rafting on the spectacular Little Colorado River.  The most scenic place we’ve ever rafted.  This stretch of river has been featured in movies, adventure reality shows and survival programs.   The river is surrounded by high cliffs of red sandstone which will have you in awe.   This afternoon you are free to explore some amazing options.  This is where mountain biking was invented.  Rent a bike, or off-road vehicle and explore the canyons and deserts.  Rent a kayak and do more white water.   Or just kick back with friends at the pool.   Moab is one of our favorite places.

Wednesday  July 25 – Monument Valley/Page AZ:  Today renew your friendship with the Navahos at Monument Valley Tribal Park.  We’ll take  a jeep tour of the valley with a Navaho Taco lunch.  This is where a hundred movies, commercials and television programs have been made.  It’s also a sacred place for the Navaho Indians.  Tonight we’ll stop at the Glen Canyon Dam on our way to our hotel.

Thursday  July 26 – Grand Canyon/Bryce Canyon:  Today we’re going to explore the Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park.  This is a beautiful and wild place.  This is the view few people see and it’s more rustic and natural than the South Rim. Late this afternoon we’ll drive through  Bryce, which is wild, beautiful and filled with wild animals.  Frequent stops for pictures and to explore will take place.

Friday  July 27 – Bryce Canyon:  This morning we’ll hike the Navaho Loop, the amazing trail we’ve done many times.  This afternoon we’ll do an optional horseback trail ride into the canyon, while other people can enjoy the rodeo, additional hiking and more.

Saturday July 29 – Cedar Breaks/Las Vegas: This morning we’ll drive to Vegas, arriving early this afternoon.  Las Vegas has 200,000 hotel rooms, countless casinos, world class shows and lots of fun.  Feel free to gamble, eat and take in the fun of Vegas.  This is an adult city and if you are under 21 you can’t gamble or drink, but you can do everything else from Amusement Park rides to gondola rides.  This is a city which never sleeps.

Sunday July 30 – Las Vegas: Today is free to do as you wish.  Take some of the optional tours in Las Vegas. Spend more time in the casino or just have fun hanging out with your friends.  We suggest you go to casino center, the old part of Vegas which is fun and easy to walk around.

Monday  July 31 – Home:  The tour is over today but if you want to spend more time here we can book additional hotel nights (at additional costs).  We’ll say sad good-byes again but we’ll see each other again.
